Dang Jian Hui

We have been trying to figure out the correct way to pronounce our "Jian's" name. At first, we were told it was like "Ian" with a "J" sound in front of it. We have recently learned it is actually pronounced like the letter "G" with the awn sound after it, like in the word lawn. So "gawn" rhymes with our fawn and lawn. It is similar to the name John.
Hui is pronounced like the word "way" but with more of a "h" sound rather than just a "w" sound.

Working on our dossier

We are beginning to assemble all of our dossier documents as we wait to secure our homestudy provider. Hopefully, within the week we will know how to proceed. Silly me, I thought I did not need any more lessons in patience! I am frequently reminded that it is God who has orchestrated this adoption and it will happen in His perfect timing.

LOI

Today, Tuesday July 1st, we have officially sent our care plan, family summary sheet, a notarized letter from my doctor and our letter of intent(LOI) to adopt Dang Jian Hui!!! Our agency will have these documents translated and then they are off to China. It feels soooooo good to have this first step completed.
